Rake Back - Why not?

Playing without rakeback..makes no sense.
Nothing to risk, or anything to afraid.
You just get at least 30% of your rake back.
Why not?
So simply is the question . :)
You play and at the end of the month , you get your money back.
Why leave em at the casino? Looks so easy and it is.
I started getting rakeback via rakebrain and i'm very satisfied.

Ok,haven't posted for long time ago..and i won't post also for long time i think

The reason?? lately i was playing only sng 3+0.3,5+0,5 and 10+1
I was going fine and i was very satisfied of my play,i was at my best i think

So the day today came...and i think i have no words to describe what happened.
So many and so really bad..bad beads i think it's a world record.
So decided to take a break and to reconsider some thinks .

But also lately even if i play many tourneys i am also so busy till the end of the next week so that i can't write down my thoughts...:)

Pacific Poker In Review

Well , time to check out also this one major poker-room ,with the 888 behind it that ensures my money at least :)

Tables from 0.05-0.10- to 10-20 is fairly enought for me..not a high staker here...:)

Not so rich freerolls...but i saw an advert that drove me there about the matador freeroll that sends one player for free at World Heads Up Tourney at Barcelona...Tried to qualify there and last year but nope...But i can't find something...it seems that the promo is over...:(

Anyway ..i checked out the rooms,very strange graphics but they seem fine to me. Everywere there is an automatic count of the chips and you can see it all the time at the table,something that i like. I would like also a few stats to be there,to be able to trace better my game.

In general is a good room..not something extreme good..but it's ok to play,to try to get some fishes ...:)

The tourney came to an end , and i finished unfortunatellyt 4th of 100 and more people...
Dissapointed as it was a good oportunity to hit the first prize..and my first live tourney
Hope to find another good oportunity to try again..January and February are months of pressure for ne so not much poker that days :)

Leaving for holidays today

Have everyone nice holidays,take some rest ,charge up,celebrate new year , enjoy and cu back with new year.

Leaving also with a little bad mood cause get a very bad place at todays road to copenhagen tourney,and that get my a little back,but without my pc and my place while i am at holidays is very difficult to concentrate to my game,so unfortunatelly i don't think that finally could manage to take a good place or even win the trip...

A better place cost me a very bad call from me with K Q against A J

That position brings me i think at the first place of the leaderboard,so i keep having good posibilitites for the end. But i have to hit another one good place for sure if i want to remain to the game.

Well...from asteriapoker.com a freeroll championship with points for a sit to a side event of EPT of copenhagen to the first one.

Started pretty good at the first one,but not as good as i could..finished 4th out of 45 and got also 13$ :D

It is going to be a six-game championship i think,where you get points from he finish position and the total entrants. I will wait for the leaderboard and the next game to check out and get a picture of how things will roll on...

Unfortunatell miss that BPT event too...

Well thet day and time for the greek participants..(btw i think i'm the only one..:P) is little hard..cause is saturday night 22:00,and even if i like poker a lot,i usually have something else scheduled that time,because i don't my friends to start saying to me.."Get a life..." :D .

So unless poker.com change time,it seems little difficult for me to win an event,as i have played 2 event fully i think only. :(

A K = All in pre-flop?????

Yesterday watching some friends playing poker and suddenly i see a raise from the one,other re-raise,other all-in ,and the second follows...

A K the first one, A Q the other, both un-suited if i remember well.

As i have read i very nice phrase that have remained in my mind for so long.

Andrew Glazer writes..."It's best to have to ways to win: with your bet or with your hand.If you call all-in you can only win with your hand."

Very important phrase and it describes exactly the upper situation.

For many players A K, or A Q is like the cards from heaven.
Of course they are nice,but if you don't play with them wisely you may end up quickly out of the game.

So for me,of course play them powerfull but i never push them more than the limits that i set. Don't try to win when you don't have even one chance. If you push your hand there more you just make your opponement happier. Push them but always remember when to stop ;)

Trying my luck now to a satellite for the EPT at copenhagen...:)

While The BPT event is coming i played some Short-handed SNG for a warm-up and we have 3 first places and 2 completely looses on 5 games,so i guess i'm in a fairly good shape for the BPT event :)

Freerolls...worth it or not???

Well my formula says that....

min 200$ in the pot...max 100 players,and for every 100$ added you can 10 players.

This you can say it worth it..for the rest i think it's more a waste of time than fun or playing to win

Yesterday start a freeroll $200 with 500 people..
first 50 paid out
50-40 60 cents
40-30 80 cents etc.... lol!

If this is not a waste of time then what it is??

You can only make out some cash if you finished a the top 5.

Playing 2 hours and been at the 4th-5th place for good with a very big stack...but got bored and gave out my chips...ended up 85.

Got bored because it seems to me a non-sense game,cause i don't play only for fun.
Everytime i play also for profit.

So i end it up with that formula. :)

And i believe that i'm right ;)

lol! for the first time i tried omaha at the bpt event! never played before and it was quite funny and interesting game,but i couldn't have any luck against guru's of the game so ended up at the middle of the tourney :)

Unfortunatelly no pics of barcelona...

Started at the tourney very bad,but survived..5 left and 2 people all-in , i have pokcet queens i go all in too. First one has pocket 9's and the other A 4, and we have 5 J 10 8 7 and a straight for the guy with the 9's...what can i say...i win a second change..

Second chance usuall beat...
1500 stack,
I Raise...pocket Aces..Call two guys...
flop Q 7 3 Raise 200,one fold other call..
turn 3 All - in , guy calls.. pocket 7's
river nothing...:)

And that's about 6 hours wasted of my life......

Played in a freeroll at Poker.gr ,75 entrants finished 10th , and the 10 first move to finals with a freroll of 30 entrants next sunday with the first prize a full package of Poker Classics at Barcelona. :):)

Will be back next week with the next results and hopefully photos of me at Spain. :D

I have started to play now at 5 seated ,and after such a long time , Pot Limit! :)

Yeah,i think this game fits to me right lately but some advices from me.

-Very carefull selection of table. Be You the one that bluffs not other ;)
-Play more hands than 10 seated but again be selective
-Push your hands to the limit,but don't loose the limit..:)
-Push the players,make them afraid of you.Be the "pro" of the table.

Well yesterday lanning play in two tourneys and forget about 'em totally....
At least i remembered BPT but little late so i have to play more aggresive to get my chips back.I made up my stack easily but got busted finally when i was chasing a straight with A Q and pocket fours find their matches on the table so i was out from a four of a kind.Best reaction i guess it should be pre-fold....

Well start in a tourney , 52 shown up...got busted in the first 10 minutes, pocket queens against pocket kings...i hate that :D

Try to get my money back on a SNG and my pc stucks and couldn't log in during the game so when i came finally back i have lost many chips from the blinds..and busted out again!!

Yesterday got busted in both tournaments at the sattelite 100 shown up busted out 50th and at the other one 29 came and got out 12th. Lost the most of my stack when i got 9 9
i called and came up 2 q 8 ,everyone checked,then came up a 9 i betted , then a 10 came i betted again i got raised, i called and i came up to K J straight.....:)

Today Again a 10+1 1000$guarandeed...i will try my luck...

Not bad for 2:30 play time

Lost the first prize completely unlucky when the firsti one start raising on the pre-flop and finally came all in with qq and me with a j hearts. I came up with a flush...but he made a full house...really bad luck.

Well my experience shows so far that you have to use 2 tactics...

First and risky... You call every blind raise with evry hand you go and oyu hope to get a good pair or threesome down,then after a check the possibilities of a big raise from the raiser is 90%propably...and you call and you make quicly a big stack

Scend and secure..Yu just wait for a big pair or two good cards suited and only cal then..

But for freerolls ,cause it's free just use the first methom..i think it worth it ;)
